Kerri Burns Gailey’s   first offering, The LOT Project: Learning From the Least of These, chronicles her time as a volunteer at a homeless ministry known as The LOT Project in Anderson, SC.  This ministry offers meals and clothing twice a week to those in need.

In Kerri’s five years as a regular volunteer, she found The LOT Project to be a place that offers so much more than just food and clothes. It is a safe place where a smile can be found, and love can be shared with those who are so often overlooked and ignored in our society, people labeled as homeless, addict, worthless, drunk.  When they step through the doors of The LOT Project, they are welcomed as people, as God’s children.  In her book, she shares the stories of other volunteers, staff and guests, and how God works His perfect plan through bringing together the most unlikely of people to create a beautiful picture.

Kerri is active in fundraising for The Lot Project.  All profits from the sale of her book and its artwork benefit the ministry of The LOT Project.  She also participates in The LOT’s yearly 100 Holes of Golf Marathon fundraiser.

Kerri is currently working on her second book, her first work of fiction, to be released in 2020.  Inspired by her own family’s struggles with addiction and loss, she is passionate about sharing what God has taught her in those times of hardship about seeking His peace and freedom.  In this new book, you will follow four characters on their journeys to find freedom from addiction.

Kerri and her husband, Steve, are the parents of five children and reside in Anderson, SC where she continues to pursue her artwork and writing.
